Thanks to a high headroom, custom-built processor specifically designed for Digital Signal Processing (DSP), this cross-platform card enables users to run digital replicas of many classic pieces of analong hardware including Universal Audio's own vintage analog classics--all without significant drain on the host computer's CPU. And because the UAD-1 Project Pak works seamlessly within a number of VST, MAS, and Audio Units compatible audio applications, you don't need to learn an entire new program to benefit from its power and flexibility.
The UAD-1 Project Pak runs on most DAW software including Nuendo, Cubase SX, Wavelab, Sonar,Logic Audio MOTU Digital Performer, BIAS Peak, and TC Spark Windows 98-XP, Mac OS 9.x and Mac OS X. With the UAD-1 Project Pak you get power on demand and high quality without the high cost.

The UAD-1 Project Pak includes the proprietary ultra high-performance UAD-1 PCI/PCI-X DSP card and v3.5 software which includes a collection of 15 Universal Audio plug-ins including:
- 1176SE vintage compressor
- Pultec EQP-1A classic EQ
- RealVerb Pro
- Nigel Guitar Processor* - Nigel is also a suite of plug-ins, including the Pre-flex amp and speaker cabinet modeler, echo, delay modulation, tremelo, modulation filter, compressor/gate and phasor.
- EX-1 EQ & Compressor
- DM-1 Delay Modulator
- CS-1 Channel Strip* - The CS-1 includes EQ, compression, delay modulation, and reflection engine modules.
These components can be used together or separately.

- DirectX is supported under Cakewalk Sonar, Syntrillium Systems Cool Edit Pro, and Sonic Foundry Sound Forge, Acid, and Vegas
- 1024 x 768 or higher resolution monitor
- An AGP graphics video adapter (PCI graphics is not recommended)
