Music is an art as well as a science. To be able to comprehend it to the fullest, you must be able to appreciate both its emotional and intellectual content.
This course has been designed for students with very little or no musical background. It is structured to provide the tools to develop a basic understanding of the rudiments of music through lectures, exercises, and evaluation components. In addition, students are encouraged to interact and share ideas with their instructor and peers. The course covers the following topics:
