Joe ArguelloTony Adams - Sales/Tech
Contact OSXXP

Tony grew up in Iowa in a musical family where I started playing the trombone at age 9.  Tony switched to the Hammond B-3 and by age 12, was making live appearances on local radio and television.  Becoming interested in composition and arranging, Tony did his first arrangement for his high school orchestra’s Spring concert. Tony left the farm country for college in Los Angeles where he studied privately with Hugo Freidhofer, Elmer Bernstein, Jerry Goldsmith, Earle Hagen, and anyone who was willing to teach him what they knew.  Tony composed his first film score in 1973 and recorded the music at Conway Studios when it was in a garage behind a house in Hollywood (Studio 1 is the original room).  After a few more forgettable films (many of which were turned into guitar picks), he began orchestrating for many major film and television composers and writing arrangements for recording artists such as Barry White, Doc Severinsen, Peaches and Herb, Johnny Mathis, Lola Falana, and many jazz artists.  Through the influence of Henry Mancini, he starting doing arrangements for the Boston Pops (under John Williams) and many other orchestras  including the London Symphony Orchestra.  Spending so much time in recording studios opened his interests in producing and engineering (learning the ropes from Joe Reisman and Al Schmitt).  Tony has produced and/or engineered for such artists as Patti Austin, Steve Tyrell, Henry Mancini, Burt Bacharach, Patrice Rushin, Tom Scott, Mark Isham, and many others.  He's worked in most major studios and especially loves Abbey Road Studios in London where he lived for 1 1/2 years around the turn of the century. Tony feels it’s been a great privilege to have worked with many of the finest musicians in the world and have made many long lasting and great friendships. Has has been a member of many professional organizations for a long time and have served on the Board of Directors and as an officer of many.  Tony has received two Grammy nominations and has been awarded 3 gold and 2 platinum records in his career.

Tony says, "I feel very privileged to be part of the audioMIDI.com family and to use my many years of experience to help fellow musicians realize their dreams."
