Russ Jones - Owner, Purchasing,
Marketing

Russ Jones has spent the
last 35 years in
the Musical Instrument
(MI) industry, not as a musician, but influencing how music
is made. He started as the VP of Sales and Marketing at
Acoustic Control during the Doors, Credence Clearwater
and Sly and the Family
Stone era, 1967-1972.
He then joined up with Tom Oberheim, to introduce Oberheim
Synthesizers to the
MI channel, this partnership spanned 13 years. Following
that he then formed
a joint venture with Karl Steinberg and Manfred Rürup
of Steinberg (1985) to introduce Steinberg software
to the US and Canadian
markets under Steinberg/Jones which later became Steinberg
North America. Drawing upon his experience and relationships
as both manufacturer and distributor, he now adds retail
(e-tail as some would say) to his list of endeavors, creating
audioMIDI.com. He is dedicated to bridging the information
gap between musicians and technology i.e. computer music/audio
hardware and software. audioMIDI.com began with the philosophy
of creating a place where the computer music/audio customer
could find and purchase exactly what he wants in a painless
and efficient manner. Having laid the foundation he plans
to continue to expand upon this realization. |

Sharon Bostrom - Purchasing

Fresh. Hip. Sassy. Unfortunately, young Sharon can't be described with any of these words, but she just makes the place feel better due to her cheery trumpet playing, endless energy and an aroma that can only be described as 'original.' Snappy dresser, calm under pressure and ox-like determination are, unfortunately, three other things that can't ever be mentioned in the same sentence as Sharon. Not much else is known about Sharon. Nobody can remember when or how she got here, except that she has been hanging out at audioMIDI for a long time. Some say she likes to pass herself off as a college graduate from California State University Northridge. Others says they’ve seen her training for wilderness survival in the back of the warehouse. She's been seen stopping meetings in their tracks when she puts her head to the ground to listen for potential meals approaching. |

Tim Mcguire landed his current
gig at audioMIDI.com after a stint at AST computers
and various assorted banking jobs.
Now he keeps the numbers straight for thousands
of happy customers and most importantly...prints
the pay checks. A local boy, Tim
spends his free time tearin' up the Colorado
highways on his Motorcycle and listening
to his favorite...country music. |

Michael is currently attending California State University of Northridge in pursuit of a degree in business with an emphasis on accounting. At this point in time, he is half way through his decade long program, yet most of his knowledge is coming from hands on learning in the work place. Despite his interest in music, the closest he will ever come to musical production is pressing play on a compact disk player. |

Brent began playing the drums
at age 11 and moved
away to join a punk
rock band when he
was seventeen. He joined the then all-female "Stone Fox" and their album "Burnt" won the BAM and SF Weekly awards for "Best
Metal Album" and their next record was produced by Linda Perry who signed them to her own label . With Stone Fox he toured with Joan Jett and opened for Metallica. He left Stone Fox to pursue his own work. He also worked as an engineer at Guerilla Euphonics (now called Guerilla Recording) recording countless punk and metal demos. When he moved to LA, Emagic told him about a company called audioMIDI.com to which he became a customer, then Webmaster. He works hard to someday be a good Buddhist, artist and husband.

Doug Edge - Content Director

Doug Edge grew up in the desert of the Southwest where you can cook an egg on the sidewalk if you’re so inclined. Saving his allowance for months to purchase a clunky old nylon 6-String guitar when he was a kid was just the tip of the iceberg for his budding “gear lust”, which continues even today. Discouraged by the quality of his home recordings Doug searched out an internship at a local studio. This led to doing live sound as well as location and post-production work for independent films. Studying Hearing Sciences and Psychoacoustics in college only furthered his interest in recording and digital production. Today he writes articles, reviews, and interviews for audioMIDI.com and even though he has a proper guitar now he is still trying to figure out how to play it properly.
