Cakewalk Dimension Pro Product Spotlight
Cakewalk recently announced the release of Dimension Pro, their first cross-platform DXi, VST, and AU plug-in synthesizer. This long-awaited synth offers a massive 7GB sound library with superb sound selection and powerful synthesis capabilities. This tool proves to be an essential addition to the library of a wide range of composers and musicians; from classical music, with its Garritan Pocket library to electronic producers, with classic and futuristic analog sounds.
The synth consists of four parts per program with massive modulation capabilities. 20 LFOs, each with 21 various shapes, 20 Envelope Generators, and Vector Mixing that allows for dynamic control of sounds, translate to a very impressive selection of sounds. Dimension Pro has advanced sample playback techniques, multi-looping, sample switching, and legato on MIDI Continuous Controllers as well as acoustic simulation such as piano body and dampening.
A multi-mode filter and drive section exists for each of the four parts and includes a Bit Reducer and Decimator.

Dimension Pro also includes a large library of production-ready drums with groove programs, which can be dragged into the host application as a MIDI file for further manipulation and control.Vector mixer allows real-time sound morphing which can be controlled via MIDI.
