Thanks for the prompt response and attention you gave my order when I alerted you I had not yet received shipment. The Drive arrived this morning, just in time for my project to go off as designed. I really appreciate it and will certainly spread the word and shop with you in the future. Once again, thanks and great job!

Russ -
Thank you so much for the opportunity to "meet" Dr. Moog as well as the other "Synth Legends" as the men are more legendary than their respective machines. Back in the day I was gutarist in a three-piece band in Des Moines, Iowa. Getting and keeping gigs took up what little precious time wasn't spent working up material so I had no opportunity to get into synthesis. I remember seeing an Arp 2600 in a music store but the cost was prohibitive. Now, years later, I've got the time to play with synths (the cost is STILL prohibitive) but all the 'touchy-feely' machines of the day are pretty much unavailable to me. That's one of the main reasons I ordered the Legacy collection (for the GREAT price and the MS20i controller). I know that VI's aren't true old-school but people used to discredit electric guitars as being 'impure' also.
I just wanted to drop a note and thank you for doing the Synth Legends night: I really enjoyed it. It provided a lot of insight as well as nostalgic humor that just isn't present in magazine articles. Kudos to audioMIDI as well. I'm glad I found you guys and, although I don't have a lot to spend and I'm not building a world-class studio, I always get good deals and GREAT service from you.
Keep on,

Hi David!
I just wanted to say hi and thanks again for you rhelp with the Receptor, I've been using it almost daily since I got it, and it keeps amazing me..! I work with a show group right now, and many of the numbers are based on piano and vocals. I always bring the Receptor, and I always get great feedback on the Ivory pianos and the format.
The sound guy says he has a lot more to work with than he's used to with digital instruments, and the artists say that they can hear everything!
I'm really happy too, I recently purchased the Scarbee KGB and playing those ep:s live on the Receptor is a whole new experience, unbelievable realism and really inspiring. I also play with a couple of cover bands and am also currently on tour with swedish-italian artist Veronica Maggio (www.veronicamaggio.com); I use the Receptor all the time and always get great feedback from musicians and sound guys. Thanks again for the help and the great service!

When I was having difficulty submitting a rebate to Yamaha for the Moog software, which I bought through audiomidi, I wrote to Yamaha and they wouldn't respond to any of my inquiries, nor resolve the issue. I wrote to to audiomidi, to which David Thompson patiently responded and investigated on the matter. Even though I never heard from Yamaha, David reassured me that it was processed.
This week, the rebate came in the mail and I wanted to thank David Thompson for helping me in this matter. I love the moog software and I wanted to write my appreciation.

Mr. Jones,
In this world of big box stores and chains where customers are treated like commodities rather than real people with individual needs, I can't tell you how refreshing it is deal with Audiomidi.com! I have been purchasing from your store for almost a year now, and, despite living on the other side of the country, I will not shop anywhere else. This is due in large part to Dave Thompson.
Dave is a true pro! He is not only responsive and friendly, but really provides customer service in the truest sense of the phrase. He has consistently taken the time to understand fully my needs. Whether it's contacting a manufacturer to get product information, walking me through a setup, just explaining technology, or shooting the breeze about the latest gear, he has been an unbelievable pleasure to work with. What's most impressive is the way that Dave views purchases in the context of past and future purchases. As a result, my home studio is actually taking shape and is not just a collection of random gear. Indeed, the only time one of my purchases did not work out was when I did not follow Dave's advice :)
I don't mean to rant, but it really is rare in this day and age to get high quality personalized service without sacrificing price. And I really wanted to give credit to Dave as credit is due. As a part time musician (I'm an attorney at my day job, but please don't hold that against me), I spend a lot of my hard earned money on gear. It is a labor of love and a hobby/job that I take very seriously. Like many of your customers, I truly enjoy talking about and learning about new gear and exciting developments in technology. Let's face it, it's both fun and addictive. You have made the whole process a lot more fun and gratifying. Thanks for giving me a place where I can talk, learn purchase high quality gear (and read/listen about it too -- the reviews and podcasts are great!). I remember my college electronic music professor (the great Joel Chadabe) talking to me before I graduated and went off to law school. He told me stories about many of his former students who, despite going off into the business world, would maintain and enjoy their own personal studios (we just called them "midi studios" at the time as DAWs were a thing of the future, lol). Thanks for helping us "weekend warriors" survive and giving us acceess to great gear and info. I actually just finished my first indy movie score, so, who knows, maybe I can quit that day job soon...
Please send my best to Dave. He really has gone above an beyond time and time again and I didn't want that to go unnoticed.
Best regards,
Jonathan K.

Sir,
Your name was passed on as the owner of audioMidi.
I would dare say, you probably have more pressing matters to deal with. And please, bear with me, at the risk of being long-winded.
Last July, I made the decision to purchase a Marantz PMD671. After a through Google search, I decided on audioMidi, essentially because a lower price was offered and the difference was enough, to also purchase a larger flash disk. Please note, I had never done business with audioMidi, nor any of the other firms. Nor had anyone recommended any particular firm.
The unit arrived. And after some very limited use, it started malfunctioning. My initial contact, regarding this matter, was with Tom Luer. We agreed that the unit should be shipped back and that a new unit would be returned. Tom was very sympathetic to the fact that until D&M received the unit, they could not send a new unit, nor were they willing to ship directly to me.
Within a reasonable time frame, the replacement unit was shipped from audioMidi. Unfortunately, UPS delivered the unit at another address. I will not burden you with the details, except to mention, that the unit was delivered at another address, and of this writing, appears to be missing in delivery.
Having done what was within my means with UPS, between Friday, the 11th and the 14th, I contacted Tom, via e-mail, explaining the situation. He INMEDIATELY assured me, that the matter would be taken-up with UPS and that as soon as the claim was settled, a second replacement unit, would be shipped. To my great surprise, less than two hours later, Tom contacted me, to let me know, that not withstanding the claim, a replacement would be shipped the next day. The unit arrived today.
I want to make it very obvious, my satisfaction with the treatment received from Tom. And even though I never had contact with anyone else at audioMidi, I have no doubt that Tom had other people involved in this sale. And these other people, also merit my gratefulness and deepest respect.
Having been in sales, in another industry, I might be more observant of the service I receive. Unfortunately, in today’s business climate, as soon as a sale is closed, the customer is pretty much on his own. This was not the case my case with audioMidi, in any way, shape or form.
I always felt that Tom was on top of my problem, and that he sympathized with the situation. At no time, did I feel I was just a order number. And I am sure, Tom must have followed-up on this matter, within audioMidi, to assure it’s satisfactory conclusion. And if Tom ever cut some corners, rest assure he did it, to assure that audioMidi did everything within it’s power, to solve the situation.
The service I received, can not be quantified by a sales price. The buyer must figure into his buying decision, what value he will receive. And in that sense, I hit the jackpot.
Please feel free to use this message, or portions thereof, on your webpage. But most significant and essential, please give Tom a pat on the back, as well as anyone else involved. They well deserve it.
When push came to shove, the people at audioMidi went the extra mile.
Most times, customers almost expect deficient customer service. Very rarely, do we take the time, to let directors know, what in fact, their employees are doing.
And I know, from personal experience, how frustrating that can be to a employee, who feels his efforts were not appreciated.
Rest assured, that if and when, I have to purchase additional equipment, I would not hesitate for a second, to contact audioMidi. And if there was a price difference, I would know there was additional value, within the price. I believe it goes without saying, that I would recommend audioMidi to others, without the slightest degree of hesitation, nor reservation.
You should very proud of the people at audioMidi.
It’s the efforts displayed by Tom, and others, that give a firm a good name.
Rafael B. D.

Tom,
This is amazingly kind of you to have sorted out the situation. I can’t be more pleased. It’s certainly an honor to do business with someone who is so caring and so efficient in getting things accomplished. I’d only wish this world is full of people with this kind of spirit.
I look forward to receiving the Wavelab next week.
Please take care and have a great weekend.
David
