The Pace iLok USB Smart Key lets you carry all of of your software authorizations wherever you go using a single USB key. Pace iLok USB Smart Key is portable, convenient and hassle free.

Authorizations are stored in the safe, secure iLok -- not on the computer or hard drive. The Pace iLok is immune to problems caused by machine upgrades, disk maintenance, hardware failures, and software updates.

Here's how it works:

Many iLok-enabled software products ship with a license card in the box. About the same size as a credit card, a license card holds authorization using the same "Smart Card" technology used on GSM cell phones and American Express cards.

The chip on the license card contains the authorization license necessary to activate and run the software you purchased. Simply insert the GSM format license chip into the iLok when prompted by the software. Your software authorizes instantly.

In addition to license cards, developers can offer iLok authorizations using challenge/response codes. Software purchased over the internet can be authorized with a single click- without the need to type long numbers or code words .

Once authorized, authorizations are stored safely and securely inside the solid-state iLok smart key.
